Walker Mansion Ruins
Ruins of Walker Mansion atop Mt. Falcon in Morrison.
Designed by J.B. Benedict 1909, struck by lightning and
burned to the ground 1918.
John Brisben Walker owned 4,000 acres in the Morrison area,
including Mt. Falcon and Red Rocks.
Walker once bought the Stanley Steamer steam car business
and even raced Locomobiles atop Mt. Falcon.
Architect Jacques Benois Benedict not only designed many homes and business buildings around Denver, but also many of the stone houses and structures you see all over the Front Range.
